HYFOIL Marine is a U.S.-based leader in hydrofoil-assisted catamarans, delivering sleek, efficient, and modular vessels for recreational, commercial, and municipal use. Proudly built in New York with ABYC-certified master technicians and cutting-edge design from the originator of foil-assisted catamaran technology.
HYFOIL Marine is a U.S.-based innovator in high-performance, hydrofoil-assisted catamarans. Founded in 2013 as HYSUCAT USA, we’ve evolved into a leading force in marine technology—known for sleek designs, advanced engineering, and boats that don’t just meet the standard, but redefine it. Proudly headquartered in New York, we build all our vessels to meet U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) compliance and NMMA certification standards. Our construction team includes ABYC-certified master technicians committed to excellence.
Our design foundation comes from the original hydrofoil-supported catamaran technology developed by Professor Dr.-Ing. Gunter Hoppe, a pioneer in fluid mechanics and naval architecture. Today, HYFOIL collaborates directly with Professor Hoppe on exclusive design programs, drawing from his proven innovations to deliver boats that outperform. This collaboration anchors HYFOIL’s leadership in foil-assisted performance.
Whether it’s an all-electric ferry, an adventure-ready RHIB, or a fast, efficient support boat, HYFOIL offers performance you can feel—and trust. Our designs are safer for passengers, better for the environment, and built to last. With tons of space for people or cargo, our boats deliver more freedom with every mile.
Michael Quaglio, co-founder and president, is a U.S. Coast Guard 50 Ton Master Captain and two-time world champion sailor, Mike leads all aspects of HYFOIL’s design, sourcing, and production. He spearheads our culture of precision, performance, and accountability. With deep expertise in hydrodynamics and real-world marine operations, he drives the modular innovation—ensuring each HYFOIL is fast, efficient, and future-ready.
Kyra Goldsmith, co-founder and general manager, with a background in finance, artificial intelligence, and strategic operations, Kyra blends high-tech execution with deep maritime intuition. A world champion sailor with a sharp eye for fluid dynamics, she helps shape product strategy, oversees operations, and leads ergonomic and topside layout refinement. Her experience spans startups as well as Fortune 500s, giving HYFOIL the agility to scale and the discipline to execute.
Professor Dr.-Ing. Gunter Hoppe is the originator of foil-assisted catamaran technology, with decades of leadership in naval architecture and hydrodynamics. His continued collaboration with HYFOIL ensures that our vessels are rooted in real science, not imitation. In addition to leading core IP designs, he contributes to our third-party consulting services and remains instrumental in shaping the future of high-performance marine mobility.
HYFOIL Marine’s Precision Engineering & Production Teams include marine designers, naval architects, laminators, riggers, electricians, mechanics, finishers, systems integrators, and more. We’ve built an elite network of U.S.-based suppliers and propulsion partners, allowing us to deliver boats that are faster, cleaner, and easier to own. Our modular design philosophy ensures every HYFOIL can evolve with its owner—update layouts, switch propulsion systems, or even swap out foils without replacing the hull. The result: a future-proof platform with twice the range and half the drag, no matter your power source.
